Every AVK garment is designed for a contemporary, tailored fit — not loose, not skin-tight, but precise. Our standard sizes cover most body types. For bespoke orders, we take custom measurements and draft individual patterns.

How to Measure Yourself
Chest: Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. Keep the tape flat and breathe normally — don't puff out or suck in.
Waist: Measure around your natural waistline — typically the narrowest point above your navel and below your ribcage. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
Shoulder: Measure from the point where your shoulder meets your arm on one side, across your back, to the same point on the other side. Stand naturally — don't pull your shoulders back.
Length: Measure from the top of your shoulder (where the seam would sit) straight down to your desired hem. For kurtas, this is typically mid-thigh to knee. For sherwanis, knee to below-knee.
Bespoke / Made-to-Measure Orders
For bespoke orders, we take 12 measurements — chest, waist, hip, shoulder, sleeve length, bicep, wrist, neck, kurta length, sherwani length, inseam, and trouser length. These can be taken at the Gurgaon flagship (B19/5F, DLF Phase 1, Golf Course Road) or submitted remotely using our measurement form.

Fit Notes
Sherwanis: AVK sherwanis are designed fitted at the chest and waist with a structured shoulder. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up and requesting minor adjustments — complimentary alterations are offered within 15 days of delivery.
Kurtas: Most AVK kurtas are designed with a contemporary slim fit. For a relaxed fit, size up by one. For bespoke, specify your preferred fit at the time of order.
Bandi jackets: Bandi jackets are structured with a defined shoulder and clean chest. They're designed to be worn over a kurta — account for the kurta layer underneath when selecting your size.
Bandhgalas: Similar to a Western suit jacket in fit. If you know your blazer size, use the same size for AVK bandhgalas.
