Wedding Sherwanis for the Groom — Hand-Embroidered, Made to Measure

A wedding sherwani at AVK begins as a khaka — a hand-drawn tracing — and passes through up to six karigars and several hundred hours of zardozi, nakshi, kardana, pearl and resham work before it reaches you. It is cut to your measurements at the pattern stage, not altered down from a standard block, which is why it holds its line from the baraat to the last photograph.

Grooms come to us three to six months out; the embroidery calendar is the constraint, not the tailoring. Begin with a consultation at the Gurgaon flagship or over video — bring the venue, the bride's palette and the date, and we design backwards from all three.

How long does a custom wedding sherwani take?

Eight to sixteen weeks depending on the embroidery — a fully hand-worked Tajdaar piece can carry three to four hundred hours of handwork. Start three to six months before the wedding.

What completes the sherwani?

Safa, stole and juttis — we style all three against the sherwani at the final fitting so the full look is settled before the week begins.

How is a made-to-order sherwani priced?

By its embroidery hours and materials, confirmed at consultation. Every piece is built to order — there is no rack version of it.

I'm getting married outside India — can this work?

We dress NRI grooms across the US, UK, Canada, the Gulf and Southeast Asia — video consultations, measurement guidance on call, and delivery timed to the wedding.
