The Ice Grey Embroidered Bandi is the original AVK Lucknowi Nehru Jacket in ice grey - a cool-toned bandi featuring delicate sequence embroidery focused at the placket and collar, designed as a layering piece over a kurta-churidaar set for Mehndi and ceremonial occasions. Ice grey is one of the most photogenic Nehru jacket colours: cool enough to read modern, soft enough to flatter most kurta colour pairings.
Delicate sequence embroidery runs in considered passes at the placket and collar - the work is intentionally minimal compared to the Edition II piece, focused as a single elegant accent rather than a dimensional spread. This makes the original Ice Grey Bandi the choice for the man who wants the Lucknowi craft language without the visual weight of fully embellished embroidery. Layer over an ivory kurta-churidaar set, or pair with a coloured kurta for tonal contrast.

Our most detailed pieces take 21–24 business days from order to delivery, worldwide — tailoring, hand-finishing and quality checks included — and many pieces are ready sooner. Yes — every AVK garment is hand-embroidered in our Delhi atelier. Karigars work zardozi, nakshi, kardana, mothi (pearl) and resham on adda frames, mapped from a hand-drawn khaka. A single sherwani can carry 300–400 hours of handwork; nothing is machine-run.

We alter it, free. Request a complimentary alteration within 15 days of delivery — length, chest and waist adjustments are part of the service. A made-to-order garment is not finished until it fits.

AVK dresses the full wedding calendar — kurta and bandi sets for mehendi, haldi and sangeet; sherwanis for the wedding itself; bandhgalas and tuxedos for cocktail and reception evenings. Message us the ceremony, venue and time of day and we will recommend pieces from the current collection.
