About this collection
Designer Bandi Sets for Men — Nehru Jacket Sets by Ankit V Kapoor
The AVK bandi set is the most versatile silhouette in Indian menswear — a layered ensemble that works harder than any single garment can. A bandi (Nehru jacket) over a kurta transforms a simple ethnic look into a structured, occasion-ready statement. These sets are designed to be worn complete or deconstructed — the bandi alone over a shirt for cocktail informality, the kurta alone for daytime ease, the full set for ceremonial weight.
Every bandi set in this collection is crafted from pure silk, pure chanderi, or pure organza, with hand-embroidery or artisan surface detailing. The bandi silhouette is structured — not stiff, not soft — with clean shoulder lines, a defined chest, and a length calibrated to sit at the hip without bunching over the kurta beneath.
Bandi Sets by Occasion
Mehndi & haldi: Pastel and vibrant bandi sets in lightweight chanderi and cotton-silk. Mirror work, gota patti, and tonal thread embroidery. Designed for outdoor celebrations and movement-heavy functions where layering needs to breathe.
Sangeet & sagan: Richly embroidered bandi sets in jewel tones — emerald, burgundy, midnight blue — with zardozi and pearl detailing. These are statement pieces that anchor the evening's photography.
Wedding guest & family: Ivory, champagne, and deep-tone bandi sets with moderate embroidery for guests who want formality without competing with the groom. Pairs with churidars or straight-cut pajamas.
Diwali & festive: Accessible entry points (₹8,000–₹18,000) in cotton-silk and chanderi. Refined enough for a Diwali card party, relaxed enough for a family puja night.

Bandi sets start at approximately ₹8,000 for minimally detailed pieces and range up to ₹45,000+ for heavily embroidered silk ensembles. The popular range sits around ₹15,000–₹30,000.
Can I wear the bandi jacket separately?
Absolutely. AVK bandi jackets are designed to work as standalone layering pieces over shirts, kurtas, or t-shirts. Many clients purchase bandi sets specifically for this versatility.
