The Classic Navy Blue Kurta is the AVK essential - a Bamberg linen-silk kurta in classic minimal navy with no embellishment, no print, no embroidery. Just the cleanest interpretation of the silhouette in the most versatile evening menswear colour. Designed in the AVK atelier for the man who wants quiet elegance over visible craft: weddings, soirees, festive evenings where the man wearing the kurta is the point, not the kurta.
Bamberg linen-silk gives the kurta breathability and a soft natural drape that distinguishes it from heavier cotton or pure silk. The minimal silhouette is paired with a tonal pin-tuck detail at the placket - the only embellishment, deliberately restrained - and a clean modern collar. Modern menswear cut: structured shoulder, fitted close through the body, contemporary hem.
The complete set includes: Kurta and matching navy churidaar.

Our most detailed pieces take 21–24 business days from order to delivery, worldwide — tailoring, hand-finishing and quality checks included — and many pieces are ready sooner. Dates 15–30 days out sit within our usual atelier window; if your event is under two weeks away, WhatsApp us at +91 9315506791 before ordering and we will confirm honestly what is possible.
Yes — every AVK garment is hand-embroidered in our Delhi atelier. Karigars work zardozi, nakshi, kardana, mothi (pearl) and resham on adda frames, mapped from a hand-drawn khaka. A single sherwani can carry 300–400 hours of handwork; nothing is machine-run.

We alter it, free. Request a complimentary alteration within 15 days of delivery — length, chest and waist adjustments are part of the service. A made-to-order garment is not finished until it fits.

AVK dresses the full wedding calendar — kurta and bandi sets for mehendi, haldi and sangeet; sherwanis for the wedding itself; bandhgalas and tuxedos for cocktail and reception evenings. Message us the ceremony, venue and time of day and we will recommend pieces from the current collection.
